These women learnt how to ride bikes in less than 4 hours

A bike renting company called Royal Brothers conducted a workshop in Bengaluru to teach women to ride bikes confidently and taught them about road safety and etiquette.
 


Bengaluru: A bike renting company based in Bengaluru put together an initiative to encourage women to shift gears, move from the pillion seat to the front seat to commemorate Road Safety Week, which started on January 11. The workshop conducted by Royal Brothers at Indiranagar Basketball court on January 11 encouraged women to join the biking community and gain mobility, independence by learning how to ride a bike in 4 hours. The volunteers and trainers also created awareness about the rules and regulations along with road etiquette that they need to be mindful about to be safe on the roads.

Abhishek Chandrashekhar, the co-founder of Royal Brothers, along with his team brought up the idea of training women to ride bikes confidently and with the intention to replicate this in other cities soon. By the end of the session, all participants were successfully able to ride bikes with confidence.
