Remove my slippers: AIADMK minister shouts at tribal boys in Tamil Nadu

In a video which went viral, a Tamil Nadu minister Dindigul Srinivasan can be seen asking tribal children to remove his slippers in public. Netizens are slamming him on social media for his high handedness.

Chennai: AIADMK minister Dindigul Srinivasan once again grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons. This time, he is seen and heard asking tribal youths (children of mahouts) to remove his slippers to enter a shrine.

The incident occurred when the forest minister reached Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu for the inauguration of the rejuvenation camp for captive elephants. Officials, including district collector Innocent Divya, were present when the incident occurred.

Earlier too, the minister had courted controversy. In a statement, the AIADMK leader referred to money stolen by Amma, while taking a dig at AMMK chief and RK Nagar MLA TTV Dhinakaran. In 2018, Srinivasan had said that Dhinakaran's MLAs were touring Mysuru and America with the money given to them by Dhinakaran. And that money was in turn looted by Amma, he added.
