Punjab: 1 dead, 2 injured as truck rams 3 vehicles in Ludhiana

A truck rammed three vehicles at Jandiala Guru, GT Road in Ludhiana, resulting in the death of one and severely injuring two

Ludhiana (Punjab): An overspeeding truck rammed three vehicles at Jandiala Guru on GT Road in Ludhiana on Tuesday (December 3), killing one on the spot and severely injuring two people.

Harprit Singh, one of the victims whose car was damaged, said that a truck rammed his car at 7.15 pm on GT Road. He said that the driver did not stop the truck, instead hit a two-wheeler. The rider of the two-wheeler Gurinder Singh said that the truck hit his bike with an intensity that the vehicle fell on the other side of the divider. However, he suffered minor injuries.

The truck driver did not stop at that but hit an SUV that toppled resulting in the death of a pedestrian named Mithun. His daughter Ashika suffered severe injuries to her leg. This accident brought the traffic to a halt. The Station House Officer (SHO) Amokal Singh cleared the traffic and booked a case.
