Protests, celebrations and political rallies: Is it time to find an accommodative spot in Bengaluru?
With over 75 lakh vehicles in Bengaluru and civic projects like laying pipes and cables on the footpath always in the works, traffic in the city roads gets choked up. Protests, celebrations and political rallies only make it a worse for commuters. It is time for the administration to find a new venue for such events.
Bengaluru: Bengaluru these days has become overburdened with the population both in terms of public as well as vehicles which is well beyond the carrying capacity of roads. Protests, celebrations and political rallies only add to the trouble.
With such a situation, experts feel it is time to find a venue out of city.
With recent protests over CAA and NRC, Town Hall and surrounding areas were choked, resulting in slow-moving traffic. On Millers Tank Bund Road near Benson Town where over one lakh members gathered in protest of CAB and NRC, traffic in the entire area moved at snail’s pace for half a day on Monday.
