People of Amritsar perform 'havan' ritual to condemn Delhi violence

Amritsar: The 'havan' ritual, also called 'homa' in Sanskrit, was performed in Punjab's Amritsar under the leadership of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. The ritual was conducted to condemn the Delhi violence.

One of the members said to media that those who conducted the havan ritual included Hindus, Muslims and people from other religions. She added that this havan is conducted under the leadership of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

Five days of riots has engulfed Delhi. The death toll is more than 34 currently.
