Medical negligence: Alive patient declared dead, wakes up during postmortem

On February 27, victim Shankar was rushed to a private hospital at Belagavi where the doctors after seeing the condition denied treatment saying he will not survive.

The relatives then took the victim back to the government hospital at Mahalingapura in Bagalkot where the doctors declared him dead. However during the postmortem, Shankar moved his feet and shoulders. Immediately the patient was rushed to the emergency ward and from there to ICU.

Due to the government doctor's initial statement about the patient's death, friends of Shankar have made a video of the obituary and started to circulate on social media platforms.
