Lockdown impact: Trader creates commotion, tries to set himself ablaze in Hyderabad

Mild tension prevailed for a while in front of Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon when a trader doused himself in fuel and tried to set himself ablaze

Amaravati: In a shocking incident, a person tried to immolate by pouring petroleum. The incident took place near Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, Telangana. The police controlled the situation by pouring water on the man. 

Mohammed Nazeeruddin, a vendor who was found trying to set himself ablaze was rescued by the police on Sunday evening. Naseeruddin then told the cops that he hasn't been able to feed his family since lockdown was imposed and no one has come forward to help him or his family.

Panjagutta Police have taken Nazeeruddin into custody. He pleaded with the government to help him and other street vendors financially amid the nationwide lockdown.
