Karnataka: Voices in support of Mysuru City Commissioner grow, leaders demand DC Rohini Sindhuri's transfer
As the discontent among IAS officers in Mysuru looks contained, but the voice in favour of Mysuru City Commissioner Shilpa Nag seems to have grown louder.
While many top leaders condemned the incident in which 2009 batch IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri and 2014 batch IAS officer Shilpa Nag were involved in mudslinging, former Minister and MLA N Mahesh lashed out at DC Rohini Sindhuri saying she is "arrogant and over smart'.
Former Mysuru mayor openly demanded transferring the DC. He accused Rohini Sindhuri of resorting to dictatorship and harassing Shilpa Nag. Mysuru Kannada Vedike president Balakrishna asked for Sidhuri's transfer referring to complaint against her by MP Pratap Simha. Also some MLAs want the government to immediately transfer her.
On Friday, corporators, pourakarmikas and various organizations held a protest in support of Shilpa Nag and demanded the government not accept her resignation.
