Karnataka: Gang of 4 abducts man by brandishing pistol in Raichur

Raichur: CCTV footage of a man being abducted from Karnataka's Raichur district has come to light. The kidnappers executed the act by first engaging in a conversation with the man before dragging him over to a nearby car.

According to reports, the victim is identified as Sharanappa. Sharanappa’s cousin had received money in advance on the promise of procuring labourers. After receiving the money, Sharanappa’s cousin failed to return the money and never showed up. As Sharanappa was present when his cousin received the money, he was taken hostage by a gang of four people allegedly employed by those who had paid his cousin.

While residents tried to save Sharanappa who was being abducted, the kidnappers brandished pistols and succeeding in scaring them away.

Police have intensified their search for the accused.
