Cyclone Maha: Lakshadweep affected, several people evacuated

Kalpeni: Lakshadweep islands witnessed rough sea and heavy rains due to Cyclone Maha. Navy personnel are on their toes to help the affected people. Water also entered residential areas hitting normal lives. Navy is co-ordinating with Lakshadweep Administration to shift people to shelters from affected areas. Heavy rainfall is expected very likely at isolated places over Lakshadweep, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).
