Coronavirus: School teacher takes to sand art to spread message on preventive measures

A government school teacher from Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, took to sand art to provide preventive measures amid deadly coronavirus fears. Realising that there will be mass gathering at APJ Abdul Kalam's Memorial, the teacher decided to display the art here to attract people's attention.

Rameswaram: Following the two positive cases in Tamil Nadu and over 88 cases in India with respect to coronavirus, Rameswaram Government School teacher took to sand art to create awareness among the people regarding coronavirus.

Saravanan, the teacher, decided to make hand gestures like 'namaste', regular handwash in running tap water through sand art to raise awareness about coronavirus. He put it on display at former President of India APJ Kalam's Memorial.

This attempt is to educate the people who visit the memorial in order to help them stay safe.
