Coronavirus: Prayers in Karnataka for speedy recovery of top leaders from BJP, Congress
A special prayer was held at Infant Jesus Church in Bengaluru for Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa and ex-CM Siddaramaiah, JD(S) MLA GT Devegowda and others
Bengaluru: As leaders are infected with COVID-19, communities and fans held prayers in Bengaluru and Mysuru and prayed for the speedy recovery from the deadly infection that has so far claimed over 35,000 lives and infected over Rs 18 lakh in India.
At Bengaluru's Infant Jesus Church, the parish priest and rector along with others lit candles and held prayers for the speedy recovery of Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa, ex-CM Siddaramaiah JDS leader GT Devegowda. The mass with limited gathering and with protocols held prayers only for this reason today (August 6).
In another case, Karthik Mariyappa, a diehard fan of BS Yediyurappa walked in with folded knees and climbed 1,000 steps of Chamundi Hills in Mysuru for the chief minister’s speedy recovery from COVID-19. He also prayed for the recovery of Union home minister Amit Shah.
The youth has vowed before Goddesses Chamundi that until BSY does not recover he will not wear slippers and walk barefoot.
