CAA protesters pelt stones, attack police day after Karnataka MLA threatened to burn state

Buses sent for police CC (casual contract) was vandalised as protesters pelted stones at it during protests against Citizenship Act in Karnataka's Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Though Mangaluru police commissioner PS Harsha imposed prohibitory orders from 9 pm on Wednesday to Friday midnight following calls for protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the agitation took a violent turn with protesters hurling stones at buses, cops and public property. A KSRTC bus sent on casual contract was vandalised by protesters near the district commissioner’s office in Mangaluru. The front and side window panes of the bus were damaged. However, fortunately, no one was hurt when protesters hurled stones at the bus. This incident has taken place a day after Karnataka MLA UT Khader threatened that they'd burn the state if CAA was implemented in the state.
