Bengaluru Police officials caught collecting bribes from street vendors, suspended

The Police personnel used the Pink Hoysala that were provided to them to ensure women's safety in the city. Instead, the officials used the patrol vehicle to collect bribes from the street vendors in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: Two constables were caught collecting bribes by a group of techies, including an NRI who decided to follow a Pink Hoysala. 

The four friends followed a constable and filmed him collecting bribes from street vendors before confronting him at VV Puram. 

After the confrontation and admission by the cops, the NRI informed the ACP of VV Puram Police station. After enquiring with the policemen, the DCP suspended the two. 

The Pink Hoysalas are patrol vehicles that are deployed across the city to ensure the safety of women.
