Bengaluru doctor poisons tree for preventing passers-by from viewing his house

A doctor in south Bengaluru allegedly poisoned a large tree around his property to clear the view to his newly constructed home.

A Bengaluru doctor has allegedly poisoned a tree around his house premises to provide passers-by a view to his new house. The incident came to light after a resident of the Rajarajeshwari Nagar complained to the resident's association that Dr Narendra Nikitha, poured mercury around the trunk of the tree

When the association questioned him, the doctor claimed that he requested the BBMP to cut down the 15-year-old tree. After he failed to obtain a response from the BBMP, the doctor poured mercury around the tree. According to reports, the doctor also drilled holes around the base of the tree.
