Air purifiers installed at Taj Mahal to tackle pollution

The Agra district administration has installed two air purifiers at the gates of the Mughal era monument Taj Mahal to combat air pollution in the region
 


Agra: In a bid to combat pollution, the district administration has installed two air purifiers at Taj Mahal. A layer of smog has been seen in various parts of the region including Delhi and nearby areas.

RK Rathi, executive engineer, Agra Municipal Corporation, said, "An agency has been directed to conduct mechanised cleaning as well as deploy two air purifying machines at the gates of Taj Mahal. The machines have the capacity to purify 15 thousand cubic metre air in eight hours, and we have been using these across the city over the last 4 days. We are also conducting mechanised cleaning like spraying water on roads and trees in the city,” he added.
