Karnataka: NRC debate rages on

Bengaluru: The issue of illegal immigrants has haunted the country for a long time. Karnataka too is one of the states in which immigrants have sneaked in, in large numbers. So home minister Basavaraj Bommai said they are collecting information in this regard and take up the issue with the Union home ministry.

However, on the other hand, Eshwar Khandre, Congress working president (Karnataka) said there was no need for NRC exercise as there are sufficient laws to deal with immigration.
