Vijayawada: City police commissioner CH Dwaraka Tirumala Rao launched the S3V disinfection tunnel at the commissionerate to curb the spread of COVID-19. Anyone visiting the commissionerate will have to walk into the tunnel and disinfect themselves before meeting any of the officers in the commissionerate. The commissioner said that these disinfection chambers will be established in every police station in the city limits to protect themselves by curbing the spread of the infection. Sanmedin solution will be sprayed in the tunnel which helps kill the virus, said Tirumala Rao. Various states across the country, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir have installed disinfection tunnels as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.
