Vegetables supplied at home for free to keep public indoors

To ensure the spread of novel coronavirus is curbed, a local leader from New Thippasandra is supplying vegetables for free to residents in order to keep people indoors

As the number of novel coronavirus cases has been on the rise and the need to stay indoors has become all the more important, a local leader along with friends in the farming sector have been supplying vegetables for free at the doorsteps of residences in the area

The farmers approached Abhilash Reddy, a local leader from New Thippasandra to make sure their vegetable produce does not get spoiled and at the same time even residents are kept happy. Upon seeing this as an opportunity to keep residents indoors, Reddy agreed to transport the vegetables and supply the same in and around Thippasandra.

The leader says, he has also spoken to fruit merchants and farmers and will deliver fruits in surrounding areas.

The produce is free except for a few localities where a nominal price would be charged by auto drivers who are asked to supply them.
