Corona warriors: Karnataka govt with ISKCON Akshaya Patra readies 1 lakh grocery kits for poor

An initiative of BS Yediyurappa led Karnataka government and labour department in association with ISKCON Akshaya Patra Foundation will deliver grocery kits across the state to the poor and needy during the 21-day coronavirus lockdown

Bengaluru: The ISKCON Akshaya Patra Foundation along with Karnataka government has been serving cooked food and are now distributing essential groceries boxes to migrant labourers and daily-wage earners who have lost their livelihood and find themselves in great despair in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent national lockdown.

The team is preparing 1 lakh grocery kits which contain 5kg of sona masuri rice, 1 kg tur dal, half-a-litre of refined oil, sambar and rasam powder besides vegetables of long shelf life like potatoes.
