Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan gave Justice SV Bhatti the oath of office in the auditorium of the Raj Bhavan on Thursday (June 1). On May 26, he was raised to the position of Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, where he had been serving as Acting Chief Justice since April 24.
 

The Karnataka government can have 34 ministers. Ten of them, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar, were sworn in on May 20. According to the Chief Minister's office, the swearing-in will take place at 11:45 AM inside the Raj Bhavan.

During his interaction with civil service aspirants for the 'Think to Dare' series, at Raj Bhavan in Chennai on Thursday, the Governor claimed that donors in foreign countries had sent money for that 'anti-national' activities. 

Leaders of the NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT) lauded the resignation of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Calling him an 'anti-Maharashtra governor,' and saying it's a 'big win for the state.' On Sunday morning, President Droupadi Murmu accepted Koshyari's resignation, just a month after he informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi of his desire to resign.
 

"Without understanding the basis of my speech, arguments that the Governor is against the word 'Tamil Nadu' have become a topic of discussion. Hence, I am giving a clarification to put an end to it," Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi said.

A total of 7 MLAs including Dr Dhani Ram Shandil, Chander Kumar, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Jagat Singh Negi, Rohit Thakur, Anirudh Singh and Vikramaditya Singh took oath as Cabinet ministers.

"The Chancellor is the authority of universities; the ruling party has the authority to run the government. I am acting within my powers; you should also do that," Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other state ministers decided not to join the march, which had senior leaders, including CPI State secretary Kanam Rajendran and DMK MP Tiruchi Siva, at the forefront.

Raj Bhavan has confirmed that it received the ordinance, which also recommends the appointment of eminent academicians to the post of Chancellor. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday ordered to stop his convoy to make way for an ambulance on his way to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad.  The incident took place when Modi was on his way to the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar after finishing his public rally near Doordarshan Centre in Ahmedabad .

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will expand his Cabinet on Tuesday, nearly a week after he ditched the BJP-led alliance and formed “Mahagathbandhan” government with the support of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress. The oath taking ceremony of new ministers will take place at 11:30 am in Raj Bhavan.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expanded his two-member cabinet on Tuesday, 41 days after taking the oath. Eighteen legislators were sworn in as cabinet ministers at Raj Bhavan in south Mumbai. There is no woman on the list. However, three of the 18 ministers have been embroiled in controversies.
 

After the ceremony, Shinde said that the development of the state will be his priority and that he would take all sections of the society along with him.

Based on a 53-year-old Army personnel complaint registered against the BJP leader Kirit Somaiya and his son Neil Somaiya, Mumbai Police has filed a case.  
 

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut stated that the BJP leader Kirit Somaiya crowdfunded Rs 50 crore to save INS Vikrant; however, no one is aware of the money and its use.
