According to the ECI, the exit polls will be released only after 6.30 pm once voting in Uttar Pradesh has concluded.

"The commission has also allowed road shows subject to SDMA regulations and prior permission of district authorities," according to a statement.

"I am convinced that the BJP will win 22 or more seats. The BJP's infrastructure development over the next ten years, as well as PM Modi's self-reliance goal, would benefit us 100 per cent majority," Sawant said.
 

The Prime Minister took to Twitter and wrote, "Voting will take place in Uttarakhand, Goa, and parts of Uttar Pradesh. I urge everyone who is eligible to vote today to do so in record numbers in order to enhance the democratic festival."

Polling is underway on 40 seats across state in single phase assembly elections on Monday. The results would be revealed on March 10.

"They will continue to pillage you if you vote for them again. This time, there is a new party—the AAP. We will complete welfare and development-related projects. Give AAP a chance," Kejriwal said.

Speaking at a press conference in Margao, Rahul Gandhi said, “he (PM Modi) does not understand the situation of those times and what was happening post-World War II. He is coming to Goa to distract people from real issues like the environment and employment.”
 

Modi said the Congress government did not liberate Goa for 15 years after Independence and the people of the state kept fighting. "From the ramparts of Red Fort, India's first PM, Jawaharlal Nehru had said that he won't send forces for the liberation of Goa," he added.

In its manifesto, the party promised three free gas cylinders to every household in a year, housing for all, no increase in state duties on diesel and petrol prices for the next three years.

The Prime Minister said, "This is the 60th anniversary year of Goa's Liberation. Goa wouldn't have been under foreign rule till so late if similar steps had been taken the way Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made strategies for Junagadh and Hyderabad."

Earlier, it was planned that PM Modi will address the voters of North Goa during Jan Sankalp Sabha at 5:30 pm on February 6.
