Former Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was admitted to Jayanagar Apollo Hospital after experiencing a sore throat during the Vidhana Soudha session. He had been grappling with a throat infection for a week, halting his participation in assembly proceedings. Well-wishers are praying for his speedy recovery.

The Supreme Court grants temporary relief to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and others involved in a 2022 protest march, issuing a stay order against ongoing proceedings. This exempts Siddaramaiah from personally appearing in the Karnataka High Court and halts its directive, allowing time for response to allegations within six weeks.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed confidence on Sunday that the Congress party is poised to secure victory in at least 20 constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to the media before attending a conference on government guarantee schemes in Malavalli, Mandya district, the Chief Minister conveyed his assurance regarding the party's electoral prospects. 

Namma Metro in Bengaluru progresses with Phase-2 and Phase-2A projects targeting completion by June 2026, aimed at easing congestion. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah announced plans to expand the network by 44 kilometres by March 2025, enhancing connectivity. Additionally, Namma Metro achieved profitability for the first time, marking a milestone in its operational history.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to present his 15th budget, with a surge in size to Rs 3.70 lakh crore for 2024-25. In a move of assertion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of Karnataka has challenged the Central Government to halt all guarantee schemes in BJP-ruled states to demonstrate their strength. The Chief Minister's stance comes amidst ongoing criticism from BJP leaders regarding the effectiveness and financial sustainability of Karnataka's guarantee schemes.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah's Janaspandana saw 12,372 applications during its second program, a threefold increase. Held at Vidhana Soudha, 246 issues were resolved instantly, with 12,126 pending to be resolved within a month. CM stressed prompt grievance redressal, warning of disciplinary action against negligent officials.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed the state-level Janaspandana programme at Vidhana Soudha on February 8, highlighting the government's commitment to governance. Reflecting on the first Janaspandana programme on November 27, Siddaramaiah announced a 98 percent disposal rate of applications, emphasising the administration's dedication to addressing citizens' concerns.
 

In a bold move to demand tax justice and fair treatment for Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is leading a massive protest in Delhi against the central government's alleged discriminatory policies. Under the banner of "Chalo Delhi for Tax Justice," the Congress-led state government is set to rally against what they perceive as a stepmotherly attitude towards Karnataka's tax share, allocation of grants, and drought relief.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in collaboration with Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, announced a non-political protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on February 7 against the central government's alleged economic exploitation of the state. He emphasized the unfair distribution of funds, citing Karnataka's minimal returns despite being a major tax contributor.

Political analysts see this as a Congress strategy for electoral gain, with potential plans for Ayodhya projects in the upcoming budget. BJP criticizes Congress as "anti-Hindu."

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, speaking at the 38th State Journalists Conference in Davangere, emphasised the importance of journalistic integrity and objectivity. He called on journalists to reject biased narratives and strive to present the truth to the public. Siddaramaiah particularly addressed the issue of labelling government guarantee schemes as "freebies" in media reports.
 

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticized the Union Budget, calling it "disappointing" and accusing the central government of crafting an "election budget." He highlighted concerns over high borrowing, substantial interest, and lack of transparency. Siddaramaiah argued the budget failed to address critical issues like unemployment, and inflation.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has made it clear that there is no mandatory dress code in temples under the purview of the state's Muzrai Department. This declaration comes amidst debates sparked by a district administration's enforcement of a dress code in Hampi Virupaksha temple.
