Madhya Pradesh police have arrested a couple accused of cheating at least 42 grooms and their families through a fake mass wedding scam in Dewas. The accused allegedly promised brides from an orphanage in Indore, used photos downloaded from social media, and charged victims between Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered the state government to pay ₹10 lakh compensation to businessman Ajay Singh, who spent 57 days in custody after airport security wrongly identified his aamchur and garam masala packets as heroin and MDEA drugs. The incident happened during baggage screening at Bhopal airport.

A four-year-old girl died of suspected suffocation after getting trapped inside a locked car in Indore during extreme summer heat. Police said the child had returned home with her grandfather and other family members but was accidentally forgotten asleep on the back seat. Nearly two hours later, relatives found her unconscious inside the vehicle.

The death of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma in Bhopal has triggered a investigation after her family accused her husband and in-laws of dowry harassment and murder. Her mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh, claimed Twisha underwent an abortion.

The mother-in-law of Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old pregnant woman found dead at her Bhopal home, has claimed in a bail plea that Twisha suffered from drug dependence, emotional distress and mood swings. Retired judge Giribala Singh denied harassment allegations made by Twisha’s family, who accused the husband and in-laws of abuse and murder.

A SIT has been formed to investigate the death of Twisha Sharma, who was found hanging at her MP home days after alleged dowry harassment and assault. Her husband, lawyer Samarth Singh, and father-in-law have been booked under dowry death laws. 

A sanitation worker, Sunita Bali, was injured in Indore’s Raj Mohalla area after a 100 kg parcel was allegedly thrown from a bus. Police registered an attempted murder case and arrested three accused - Sanjay, Akash, and Tushar.

Delhi Police arrested software engineer Ravi Rathore and two associates for allegedly running a fake online trading scam worth nearly Rs 100 crore. The group created a fraudulent app and website, promising high returns. A complaint from Paharganj led to investigation, technical tracking, and raids in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. 

A Gwalior contractor, Kamalkant Yadav, allegedly lost ₹1.27 lakh in a Facebook scam involving a fake London-based woman. The fraud began on 24 April and later moved to WhatsApp. Scammers demanded registration and processing fees after claiming foreign currency had arrived in his name. After paying multiple amounts, he reported the case.

A sub-adult tiger was found electrocuted and dumped in a farm well in Seoni, MP. The farmer who owns the well has been arrested, while other suspects are being questioned. This is 25th tiger death reported in MP since January. Activists have demanded stronger protection measures, especially after several recent tiger and cub deaths across MP.
