Actor Parvathy falls at Mollywood Superstar Mammooty's feet in the 20th Asianet Film Awards

Mollywood actress Parvathy earlier criticised the character played by Megastar Mammootty in the film Kasaba.

Mollywood actress Parvathy earlier criticised the character played by Megastar Mammootty in the film Kasaba. Mammootty, one of the leading actors of Malayalam cinema, was criticised in public by Parvathy and allegedly portrayed him as anti-women.

Strong protests erupted by the public through social media against Parvathy's comments. The controversy over Kasab's criticism by actress faded to the background recently. Asianet's 20th Film Awards presented on Sunday (May 20) saw the two make headlines again. Many of the artists from Kerala, including Tamil actor Kamal Haasan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, participated in the programme. Images and videos of the programme accompanied by actors and actresses went viral through social media.

Fahad Fazil was chosen as the Best Actor and Parvathy won the Best Actress award. She won the award for the movie 'Take off', in which she essayed the role of a nurse. She won the National Film Award for the same movie too.

Fahad Fazil, who won the Best Actor award received the award from Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan. Malayalam Megastar Mammootty gave the prize to Parvathy. Parvathy prostrated before Mammootty and received his blessings. After that, she hugged Mammooty. This video has gone viral on social media.

When Parvathy came to the platform to receive the award, the audience was howling at her. But Mammootty requested the audience to calm down. Many were not willing to listen to the Megastar's request. This incident happened because Parvathy had made a controversial statement about Mammooty regarding his movie Kasaba.
