Burj Khalifa lit up to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

Dubai's skyscraper Burj Khalifa was lit up with a colourful LED to pay homage to father of nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 151st birth anniversary.

On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 151st birth anniversary, Dubai’s iconic skyscraper Burj Khalifa lit up in the tricolours, displaying images of him. The video of the illuminated building emerged on social media to delight Indians across the globe.

The tallest building of the world, located in the United Arab Emirates, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with an LED show to honour Gandhi’s journey in India’s fight for Independence. It showcased some of his quotes as well. In the video, a message stating, “the future depends on what you do today”, with the sketches of Bapu spinning a charkha was featured on the 165-storey tower.
