Based on a tip, the Central Crime Branch officials raided Eagleton Resort in Bengaluru outskirts and seized 150 hydro ganjaa plants from the premises.

As per the report, the arrested person Javid Rustom an Iranian was staying at the resort premises for the last one year and growing this plant.

He is also accused of procuring the seeds of this plant via online and used some chemicals as well for plant health.

Seized 150 plants are worth over a crore in the international market
and the arrested person is taken to Bengaluru for further probe.

The Eagleton resort was in the news for the wrong reasons as they have been accused of encroaching 77 acres and 12 guntas out of their 102 acres and 12 guntas in Bidadi in Bengaluru outskirts.

The promoters Chamudreswari Buid Tech Pvt. Ltd was ordered to pay 982 crores for encroaching the public property and converting it as golf course and also part of its resort project by the Karnataka High Court earlier.

It can be recalled that Congress leader DK Shivakumar and his MP Brother DK Suresh had sheltered Gujarat MLA's during Rajya Sabha polls in Gujarat

And when there was an attempt from BJP to engineer defection among Congress MLA's DK Shivakumar has taken all the MLA's to the same resort in 2019 and it was during this time a scuffle broke out between Kampli MLA Ganesh and Anand Singh. Singh was attacked and was admitted to the hospital and treated.

Now again the same resort is in the news. Few days the Ramanagara District Administration has taken the disputed land into its possession following the court order.
