Bengaluru: A 52-year-old man was crushed to death three years ago after a tree fell on him when he was riding his two-wheeler in Malleshwaram area in 2016. On that day, Fairoz Pasha, a food caterer became victim to the apathy of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) who are yet to compensate Fairoz’s family.

The BBMP's failure in identifying dead trees and branches and pruning them has reportedly caused Fairoz's death.

The BBMP commissioner N Manjunath had promised the family of the deceased a compensation of Rs 1 lakh, which has not been given till date.

Fairoz's son, Salman Mohammed said, "I have submitted all necessary documents. It is not just once, but multiple times that I have submitted the documents."
