Plastic Bag Free Day: Bengaluru school students distribute cloth alternatives to street vendors

RV Public school students distributed cloth bags to street vendors urging them to refrain from using plastic bags.


Bengaluru: RV Public school students took out a march on International Plastic Bag Free Day from their school to Lalbagh.  The students distributed cloth bags to street vendors urging them to refrain from using plastic bags. They also organised a flash mob which spoke about the harmful effect of plastic bags and how the use of a cloth bag is beneficial to the environment.

The principal of the school, Sarah Abraham spoke to Asianet Newsable and stated that though it would be difficult to carry a cloth bag with you always, this small step could help save the environment.
