Bengaluru: Being an actor and growing up in a family that has witnessed high-octane political drama, Nikhil, Mandya Lok Sabha candidate and son of Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, became a Muslim, just for a day, on Friday.

Sporting a skull cap, red checked shawl, phatani kurta  and pyjama, Nikhil made it look like a 'Bhaijaan' kind of a look.

He met Muslim community leaders and members in Mandya. MLC BM Farooq, who twice faced humiliating defeats in Rajya Sabha elections, walked along with Nikhil in Mandya and took him to Ghousia Masjid. After the prayers at the Masjid, Farooq campaigned in favour of Nikhil.
