Malleshwaram police shoot at murder accused in self-defence, admitted to hospital

Bengaluru: Malleshwaram police station inspector Prasad KR shot at Laggere Seena alias Sreenivas, who is a murder accused. The incident occurred at Gangondanahalli Main Road in Peenya police Station limits on July 3. On June 17, Sreenivas along with two others had allegedly killed Ganesh, a resident of Vaiyalikaval. In the incident, a constable Sunil was also injured. Sreenivas has three murder and three attempt to murder cases and a few robbery cases against him in at least 10 police station limits in the City. Currently the injured Sreenivas and constable Sunil have been admitted to Sanjeevini Hospital at Jalahalli in Bengaluru.
