Karnataka minister SR Mahesh of JDS meets BJP leader at Bengaluru govt guest house, parties call it coincidence

Both parties have attempted to clarify that the meeting of Karnataka minister and JD(S) leader SR Mahesh and BJP leaders at Kumara Krupa Guest House in Bengaluru was just a coincidence

Bengaluru: A video of JD(S) minister SR Mahesh meeting BJP leader P Muralidhar Rao and KS Eshwarappa has gone viral. There was speculation that SR Mahesh is next in line to quit as MLA and join the BJP. But both the BJP and JD(S) have denied these claims.

BJP leader Muralidhar Rao took to Twitter and said that it was just a coincidence. Reacting to the same, chief minister and JD(S) chief HD Kumaraswamy said that SR Mahesh met with BJP leaders casually at Kumara Krupa Guest House that is run by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation and falls under the purview of Mahesh's ministry.

Mahesh is the minister of District Supervisory and Tourism. Speaking to a regional channel, Mahesh also termed the meet a coincidence.
