Chikkasandra residents mourn JDS worker's death in Sri Lanka blasts

The residents of Chikkasandra paid their respects to JD(S) worker Rangappa in Chikkasandra by shutting down the shops in the area. Rangappa was killed in Sri Lanka blasts on Easter Sunday

Bengaluru: On Monday, the Karnataka government had received information about the death of five persons Ramesh, KM Lakshminarayan, M Rangappa, KG Hanumantharayappa and Narayan Chandrashekar. They had lost their lives in a series of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka.

On Tuesday, the residents of Chikkasandra voluntarily called for a bandh and closed the shops in the area to pay their last respects to M Rangappa who is from Chikkasandra. Minister of external affairs Sushma Swaraj's tweet also confirmed that two other JD(S) workers who went missing on Monday were also dead.
