Bengaluru: Bengaluru City Police have arrested three Kerala-based youths for allegedly trying to sell ganja. Among the arrested youths, a final year B-Tech engineering student from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh is said to have brought the ganja from Visakhapatnam to KR Puram, Bengaluru. According to City Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar, “The SG Palya Police got information ao about a possible ganja trade and sent a decoy to do a recce followed by a raid. On Tuesday morning, all the three were arrested near SG Palya. And based on further investigation, the youths took officers to a room in Avalahalli near KR Puram from where 23 kilograms of ganja was seized. The Commissioner also said that ganja is smuggled from borders and hence has intensified their information network in the railway station, check-posts and also bus station. The police is on the lookout for two more accused. Arrested youths are identified as Arish Kumar, aged 24, from Alappuzha, Sashi Kumar, aged 25, a diploma holder from Alappuzha and Jibin John, aged 21, a final year engineering student from Kakinada.
