Bengaluru advocate sets example, takes family to vote in Mandya

Bengaluru resident Puttaswamy took his family to Mandya to exercise their franchise during the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. He said he never missed voting in the last 40 years

 

Bengaluru: A Bengaluru advocate has set an example by taking his family to Mandya to vote during the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. MV Puttaswamy, the Bengaluru-based advocate and retired National Insurance Company Limited employee left the city at 7 am on Thursday and reached Marigowda Layout in Mandya to cast his vote and also ensured his family takes part in the electoral process. He and his family cast their vote at booth number 165 in Marigowda Layout. Puttaswamy, his son Pavan MV, daughter-in-law Priya, were among the early voters. They said Bengaluru should learn and instead of complaining on social media about the political system they should go out and vote.
