Activist wants Nikhil Kumaraswamy's nomination cancelled

An activist has claimed that Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil Kumaraswamy has submitted fabricated documents during his nomination. Instead of mentioning his full name as per records, Nikhil Kumaraswamy has submitted his name as Nikhil K. Activist BS Gowda, who also contested in Mandya MP by-election earlier, said the returning officer had recommended the cancellation of his candidacy on similar grounds.

An activist has approached the election commission seeking dismissal of Mandya MP candidate and son of CM HD Kumaraswamy Nikhil Kumaraswamy. Activist BS Gowda claimed that Nikhil has submitted false information in the affidavit with regard to his name. Instead of furnishing his name as Nikhil Kumaraswamy, he has just mentioned it as Nikhil K. The activist claimed that the same returning officer had recommended cancellation of his nomination due to a similar mistake during Mandya Lok Sabha by-election.
