Watch: Traffic police thrashed by public after biker dies in road accident

In a viral video, three traffic policemen attached to Mysuru Division police were attacked and chased after a biker died on the spot.

The biker identified as Devaraju (43), while trying to avoid police checking took a sudden U-turn near VV Puram limits and came under the wheels of a tipper truck.

The public which has a general perception that traffic police loots and harasses them, got agitated by the incident and resorted to violence. The public caught policemen and trashed them. Soon more policemen were deployed at the spot to bring the situation under control.

The injured policemen were taken to hospital and it is said their condition is very much stable.
