Rajinikanth turns 70: Prayers and cake-cutting at superstar's school

As superstar Rajinikanth turned 70, his fans thronged the Gavipuram Government School in Bengaluru where he studied till standard seventh.

This cake-cutting ceremony in Gavipuram Government School is an annual ritual. Prayers were offered at the Gavipuram Temple attached to the school before the cake was cut.

Rajinikath's fans could be seen raising slogans hailing the future chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

To recall, Rajinikanth will announce the creation of a new party on December 31 and outline the roadmap ahead of the next assembly elections in the state.
