Railway food vendor’s hunger for knowledge earns him 25 diplomas

A food vendor by profession, Ashok Bhati, holds 25 professional degrees and has made it to the Limca Book of Records. He is aspiring to achieve the Guinness World of Records for most number of degrees. 
 


Jodhpur: 63-year-old Ashok Kumar Bhati of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, who has been selling delicacies on the platform at Luni Junction railway station, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, holds 25 degrees. In 2009, Bhati made it to the Limca Book of Records "as the only railway vendor with nine degrees/diplomas". Since then, the number has swelled to 25. After satiating the hunger of train passengers, Bhati gets down to take care of his own hunger – for knowledge and more knowledge. He is now preparing to hold a Guinness World Record for most number of professional degrees. He remains a source of inspiration for the youth and makes it clear that there is no age to learn something. He holds degrees of journalism, agriculture and many others.
