Private school student sent back from exam hall for not paying fees; attempts suicide

Despite the government's plea to schools not to pressurise parents to collect full fees or prevent students from taking exams, a class 10th student was sent back home from preparatory exam.

The student identified as Jayanth went into depression and attempted suicide. But the parents who kept a vigil on him, saved him.

The parents alleged that Ravindra Bharathi Global School in Bengaluru South was forcing the parents to pay full fees.

The parents say since it was only online classes, they found the institution's demand as harassment.
