Please stay at home, Bengaluru has gone out of control: Karnataka CM Yediyurappa
The Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa who recovered from Covid-19 for the second time, has appealed to the public in Bengaluru not to step out of their homes as the situation has gone out of control.
Immediately after his admission of helplessness, the video went viral attracting sharp criticism about failure of administration in tackling the situation.
In the morning, a newspaper advertisement of the Karnataka government thanking the Central government for funding the metro rail project also did not go well as the Opposition questioned the government's preference of publicity rather than focusing on beds and oxygen.
The government has enforced strict rules ranging from shutting down malls, theatres, gyms, parks, play grounds, night and weekend curfew in the wake of rising cases, yet the situation looks grim.
