MP Tejasvi Surya makes a sortie on Tejas fighter jet
A day after the government formally signed a contract with the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to buy 83 Tejas Mk 1A jets, valued at Rs 48,000 crore, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya got into the cockpit of the indigenously-built fighter aircraft during the Aero India airshow.
Tejasvi Surya took a sortie on a two-seat Tejas, which he described as a momemt of a lifetime.
Speaking to media perons after his sortie, first-time MP from Bengaluru that the LCA Tejas is a 'symbol of Atmanirbhar Bharat' and a beacon of scientific excellence and capabilities of India.
