Kerala gold smuggling: Accused Swapna, Sandeep engaged in black money deals, says ED

Kochi: Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case accused were involved in black money transaction, said the Enforcement Directorate in a charge sheet submitted to the court. The investigating team submitted the charge sheet when the court was about to consider the bail plea of the accused Sandeep Nair, Sarith and Swapna Suresh.
 
The 23-page charge sheet was submitted to stop the accused from securing bail. In the charge sheet submitted at the Principal Sessions Court, the ED demanded commencement of trial proceedings against the accused.
