Karnataka BJP minister: Anti-nationals are like coronavirus and should be shot

Turncoat MLA and newly inducted minister into BS Yediyurappa Cabinet in Karnatala, BC Patil, has termed those who raise anti-national slogans as deadly coronavirus and said they should be killed

Hirekerrur: Karnataka's Hirekerrur MLA and agriculture minister BC Patil has joined the 'Goli Maro' brigade along with Union minister Anurag Thakur after he urged people to fire bullets at those who praise Pakistan and indulge in anti-national activities.

Patil, who was in Haveri on Friday evening for a government program made thesw remarks.
He said, "If someone in Pakistan says Bharat Mata Ki Jai, he/she will be beheaded within five minutes. I urge the PM to bring in new legislation in which if a person is found raising anti-national slogans, he or she should be killed on the spot by firing bullets."

"Anti-national activities are increasing and those who indulge in such activities are like coronavirus," added BC Patil.

BC Patil was one of the MLAs, who defected from the Congress and destabilised HD Kumaraswamy-led JDS-Congress coalition government. In the Karnataka by-election in December, Patil won from Hirekerrur with over 15,000 votes and became MLA for the fourth time. As promised, BJP blessed him with the minister's post.
