Karnataka Bandh:  Women activists arrested for attempting to lay siege to CM BS Yediyurappa's house

The Bengaluru City Police took hundreds of women activists affiliated to Pro-Kannada organizations into preventive custody as they tried to barge inside CM BS Yediyurappa's official residence in protest.

The activists lashed the State government for giving preferential treatment to Maharashtra by announcing establishing Maratha Development Board.

The activist argued that when Maharashtra does not respect the sentiments of Karnataka be in the Kalasa-Banduri water project or in Belagavi district bordering Maharashtra and Karnataka, the states should desist from these appeasing tactics.
