The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday named Kangana Ranaut as its brand ambassador for its ambitious "one district, one product" campaign. One District, One Product is a flagship programme of the Uttar Pradesh government that attempts to promote the indigenous and specialised goods and crafts that each of the state's districts has. According to the government, Uttar Pradesh districts manufacture items such as chikankari, zari zardozi, kala namak rice, and others that are not found anywhere else. Kangana praised the Yogi government's work in Uttar Pradesh during the meeting, while Adityanath invited Kangana to Ayodhya to explore the sacred region.

The actress arrived in Lucknow after wrapping her Moradabad shoot for the forthcoming film Tejas. Kangana claimed in an Instagram video that Yogi Adityanath gave her the coin that was used at the Ram Temple's bhumi pujan. "This is a wonderful omen," the star said in a post introducing her new film, Ayodhya.
