No complete lockdown in Kerala, the state Cabinet decided after a meeting

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has announced that there will not be another 'complete lockdown' in the state. Today's (July 27) Cabinet meeting assessed that a complete lockdown is 'impractical'. The government has also decided to tighten controls in areas where the disease is endemic. The Cabinet also decided to issue an ordinance to extend the time for passing the Finance Bill.

A special Cabinet meeting convened via video conference concluded that a complete lockdown was impractical. The decision was taken after considering the views expressed at the all-party meeting and the recommendations of experts.
