CAA backlash: Miscreants attack CPI office in Bengaluru

In a video which has gone viral, a group of men can be seen setting fire to six bikes parked in he office premises of the Communist Party of India (CPI) state headquarters situated in Vaiyyalikaval area in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Miscreants attacked the  Communist Party of India (CPI) state headquarters situated in Vaiyyalikaval area in Bengaluru. The incident occurred on the wee hours of December 25.

In a video which has gone viral, a group of men can be seen setting fire to six bikes parked in the office premises. According to reports, a family of four adults, two children, along with five youth activists and students were staying at the office at the time of the attack. However, no one was injured in the incident.

The police have collected CCTV footage from a neighbouring house for further investigation.

G Babu, assistant secretary, Bengaluru district, alleged that this incident points fingers at the party’s involvement in the resistance to CAA and NRC proposed by Central Government.
