Bengaluru DCP sings national anthem to pacify CAA protesters; video goes viral

While several people gathered at Bengaluru's Town Hall to express their dissatisfaction over the Centre's decision on the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chetan Singh Rathore sang the national anthem to pacify protesters.

Bengaluru: Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), Chetan Singh Rathore on Thursday (December 19) sang the national anthem, influencing all protesters to rise from their place, who later agreed to culminate the agitation.

After singing the national anthem, the protesters vacated the place without any argument, agreeing to the DCP's speech.

Earlier, while attempting to strike a chord with the protesters and to convince them to leave, Rathore had also warned them about how anti-social elements can use such agitations for their benefit.
