The BBMP has a problem that seems to be bothering citizens for over a decade. The garbage menace has become a top priority for the Bengaluru mayor. As a result, he even has given up meeting his family and friends on Sunday to gauge the worrying situation of mixed waste.

On Sunday morning, Gautham Kumar along with Lakshminarayan, Domlur ward corporator, walked the streets of Jogupalaya and Domlur and inspected the newly deployed Indore model garbage collection trucks and its progress.

The mayor explained the purpose of deploying such trucks and how it works.

He even said that there was a doubt in the minds of people as despite segregating waste, the segregated waste would be mixed in auto tippers. Now this thing may not happen as the truck has separate containers attached.

The public can easily find wet, dry and medical waste compartments and dispose of the waste accordingly.
